With the support of generous donors, a playground was installed at the Children’s Treatment Centre (CTC) at Health Sciences North, which has already made a major impact on the level of care provided for children and youth in our community.
“The playground is a fabulous addition to the NEO Kids CTC,” said Shannon Boland, a physiotherapist at the CTC. “It provides a fun and functional environment where our clients can show and grow their skills in all domains, including gross motor, fine motor, and speech and language. We extend a heartfelt thank you to our generous donors. Your support is greatly appreciated!”
The playground provides a safe, accessible, and welcoming space that fosters creativity and play for clients like Willow. With endless opportunities for imaginative play, clients can play in the Mini City Playhouse, walk along the stumps and logs, and slide down double slides while still learning valuable skills.
We thank donors Barbara Burke and Family, John Carl MacIssac Foundation, and Starlight Children’s Foundation for making the playground for our NEO Kids a reality.
