“Thanks to the expertise of specialized surgeons and the collaboration between orthopedic and oncology areas, I had an innovative surgery called tumour embolization used to block the blood flow to my tumour, followed by a procedure to remove it and then reconstruction surgery using a prosthetic. Thanks to the incredible support from my dream team of doctors, I’m back to living my life and doing the things I never dreamed would be possible again.”

Together, we are working hard to ensure HSN is fully equipped and properly resourced to help close to 600,000 people across Northeastern Ontario who rely on us for care every year.
We know that HSN needs to grow to meet the current and future healthcare needs of patients and families in Northeastern Ontario. Funds raised support future capital renovation projects to help build a stronger healthcare system – benefiting some of our most vulnerable populations such as seniors, children, and those struggling with mental health and addictions challenges.

Through its research, HSNRI is committed to meeting the needs of patients and their hopes for earlier detection, prevention and more effective treatments and cures for significant health conditions affecting patients and their families in Northeastern Ontario.
