Patient Story: Carolyn’s gratitude for exceptional nurses and staff

Carolyn Raymond was at home when she began experiencing severe heartburn. After a quick Google search of her symptoms and call to her husband, Carolyn called for an ambulance who confirmed she was having a heart attack and took her to Health Sciences North (HSN).

Upon arriving at HSN, Carolyn and her family were feeling scared and nervous, but once met by the compassionate nurses and medical staff, their minds were eased and they knew they were exactly where they needed to be.

“I felt like I had a team who wanted me to get better,” said Carolyn. “Anyone would be lucky to end up with nurses and staff like that. I am proud that I had them taking care of me.”

Carolyn Raymond était à la maison quand elle a commencé à éprouver des brûlures d’estomac intenses. Après avoir vérifié ses symptômes rapidement dans Google et appelé son mari, Carolyn a demandé une ambulance. Les ambulanciers ont confirmé que c’était une crise cardiaque et l’ont amenée à Horizon Santé-Nord (HSN).

Une fois à HSN, Carolyn et sa famille étaient pris de peur et d’anxiété, mais en rencontrant le personnel infirmier et médical compatissant, ils se sont sentis rassurés et ont compris qu’ils étaient au bon endroit.

« Je me sentais comme si toute une équipe voulait que je me remette, affirme Carolyn. N’importe qui serait chanceux de se faire soigner par de tels membres du personnel infirmier et hospitalier. Je suis reconnaissante que ce soit eux qui ont pris soin de moi. »
