Ryley’s Story

Meet Ryley. Born with a rare childhood cancer, bladder rhabdomyosarcoma, he received world-class care through the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) Satellite Program at the Shirley and Jim Fielding Northeast Cancer Centre. Thanks to this program, his family could stay close to home in Sudbury for most of his treatment — just a seven-minute drive instead of five hours each week.

Now, one year post-chemo, Ryley is officially in remission. His story highlights the dedication of the POGO team and the difference compassionate, locally accessible care makes for children and families across Northeastern Ontario.

Thank you to the incredible staff and our generous donors for making this care possible.
